Prostate MRI is typically performed as a multiparametric MRI (mpMRI): a radiation-free examination that uses magnetic fields to produce high-resolution images of prostate tissue. By combining multiple image sequences, abnormal areas can be accurately assessed.

Eine Prostata-MRT ist eine strahlungsfreie Untersuchung der Prostata mit Magnetfeldern statt Röntgenstrahlen. In der Regel wird sie multiparametrisch durchgeführt, also mit mehreren Bildserien, um das Gewebe genau zu beurteilen. Sie kommt zum Beispiel bei erhöhtem PSA-Wert oder zur Abklärung auffälliger Befunde infrage.
Wie läuft eine Prostata-MRT ab und wie lange dauert sie?
Sie liegen während der Untersuchung ruhig im MRT, die Bilder entstehen mit Magnetfeldern ohne Strahlung. Ob Kontrastmittel nötig ist, hängt von der Fragestellung ab und wird vorher persönlich mit Ihnen besprochen. Die genaue Dauer richtet sich nach dem Untersuchungsumfang; einen konkreten Zeitrahmen nennen wir Ihnen bei der Terminvergabe.

Als Privatpraxis rechnen wir nach der Gebührenordnung für Ärzte (GOÄ) ab. Zur Orientierung ist die MRT der Prostata in unserer Preisübersicht mit 650 € ausgewiesen.
