HOW THE SECOND OPINION WORKS

The second opinion follows a clear procedure: brief notification, advance payment (EUR 250), submission of image data – then I start with the technical examination and the written findings.

Step 1: Brief contact
Send me an email to mail@drnicolameyer.de with a brief description (e.g. body region, existing findings yes/no). You will also receive the payment link for the advance payment from me personally on request – but you can already use it here on the page.

Step 2: Prepayment (EUR 250)
Please transfer the fixed price of EUR 250 in advance via the secure online payment link. The content processing will start after receipt of payment.

Step 3: Submit image data & documents
Obtain your MRI images (e.g. on CD from the radiologist who made the findings) as well as existing findings and doctor’s letters. Send everything by e-mail (attachment or link) or via WeTransfer with download link to mail@drnicolameyer.de.

Step 4: Second opinion
I check your documents, assess the image quality and prepare a well-founded second opinion with comprehensible written findings.

Step 5: Personal explanation (optional)
If you wish, we can discuss the findings over the phone or in person at the practice so that all your questions are answered.

My focus is on the radiological second opinion of MRI images. Optionally, I also offer second opinions on CT and X-ray images.

As a neuroradiologist, I specialize in imaging the brain, spine and nervous system – but I am also able to competently assess all other regions of the body.

IMPORTANT NOTES ON SECONDARY DIAGNOSIS

Image quality: The quality of my second opinion depends largely on the quality of your images. If sequences are missing or the image quality is inadequate, I will give you a clear recommendation for additional examinations.

Limits of the second opinion: Please note that this service is not an emergency service and is not intended for acute, life-threatening situations. The second opinion does not replace a personal examination and treatment by a doctor on site.

Data protection and confidentiality: Your medical data will of course be treated confidentially. Patient-related data is stored securely and deleted in accordance with legal requirements once the diagnosis has been completed. Please only send sensitive data via the specified channels (e-mail or WeTransfer) and avoid unsecured cloud links.

COSTS AND PROCESSING TIME

Fixed price 250 EUR: The radiological second opinion costs a flat rate of EUR 250. The price includes the analysis of your image data, the written findings report and a brief explanation of the results. Please note: The findings will be made after receipt of the advance payment via the payment link provided.

Reimbursement: Privately insured persons can usually submit the costs to their insurance company. For those with statutory insurance, this is a self-pay service (IGeL).

Processing time: As a rule, you will receive your second opinion promptly after receipt of payment and receipt of the complete, evaluable documents. The feedback will be provided in the form of a written report, with a personal meeting on request.
