HEAD MRI, NEUROCRANIUM & EARLY DEMENTIA DETECTION
A head MRI is often used for chronic headaches, migraines, dizziness, balance disorders, tinnitus, visual disorders, neurological deficits, suspected MS or for the early detection of dementia. Neuroradiological issues include blood flow, cranial nerves, inflammation, tumors, early signs of infarction and follow-up checks.
PANCREAS, MRCP & ABDOMEN
The MRI examination of the abdomen includes the assessment of the pancreas, the bile ducts using MRCP, the liver, the kidneys and the urinary tract organs. MRI enables radiation-free, precise clarification of suspected inflammations, masses or bile duct diseases.
SPINE, JOINTS & TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINTS
The spine, joints, muscles and temporomandibular joints can be assessed in a very differentiated way using MRI – for example in the case of herniated discs, osteoarthritis, sports injuries, rheumatism, tendon injuries or CMD.
WHOLE-BODY MRT & PRT PAIN THERAPY
Whole-body MRI examinations for adults and children as well as MRI-supported pain therapy (PRT) are also available for selected issues. PRT can be used for spine-related back pain.

Brauche ich eine Überweisung für ein MRT?
In unserer Privatpraxis benötigen Sie in der Regel keine Überweisung vom Hausarzt. Wir klären die medizinische Fragestellung mit Ihnen und stimmen die Untersuchung individuell ab.
Wie läuft eine MRT-Untersuchung ab?
Sie liegen entspannt auf der Untersuchungsliege, während das MRT hochauflösende Schnittbilder erstellt – ganz ohne Röntgenstrahlung. Je nach Region dauert die Untersuchung etwa 20–45 Minuten. Anschließend befundet Dr. Nicola Meyer persönlich und bespricht die Ergebnisse mit Ihnen.
Welche Körperregionen können im MRT untersucht werden?
Häufig untersucht werden Kopf und Gehirn (auch zur Demenz-Früherkennung), Wirbelsäule, Gelenke, der Bauchraum (Abdomen) sowie Prostata und Beckenorgane. Die Fragestellung bestimmt, welche Region untersucht wird.
Ist ein MRT schmerzfrei und strahlungsfrei?
Ja. Die Magnetresonanztomographie arbeitet mit Magnetfeldern statt Röntgenstrahlen und ist in der Regel schmerzfrei. Bei Platzangst bieten wir zusätzlich ein offenes MRT an.
Wann wird bei einem MRT Kontrastmittel benötigt?
Viele MRT-Untersuchungen erfolgen ohne Kontrastmittel. Bei bestimmten Fragestellungen – etwa zur Abklärung von Tumoren oder Gefäßen – verbessert ein Kontrastmittel die Aussagekraft. Wir klären Sie vor der Untersuchung persönlich auf.
Was kostet eine MRT-Untersuchung?
Als Privatpraxis rechnen wir nach der Gebührenordnung für Ärzte (GOÄ) ab. Privatversicherte und Beihilfeberechtigte erhalten in der Regel eine Erstattung; Selbstzahler rechnen wir transparent ab.
